well, it's quite a question argued by people all the time. i think aperson's personality has little relation to his family economic level. it'scommonly said that a child in rich family will has more chances and betterchoice for his study. however, if the kid himself isn't aware of this, that isall in vain. it's not unusual that many children from rich family are quite rudeand conceited although they are always receive the best education. then, howabout the poor family's children? there is another saying that adversitycultivates heroes. to be honest, i disagree with it too. poor children shouldlearn harder and catch every chance to strengthen themselves. however, thereality is often not like that. subjectively speaking, poor children are easy tofeel inferior and thus can't study well. even if they study well, they hardly dowell in practicing ability. objectively speaking, poor children can hardlyreceive good and plentiful education because of the economic limit. that willcause deficiency in some literal or artistic talent such as music or dance.therefore, i think children's personality have little relation to their familysituation.

Thanks for your coming, I fell so happy , I have this chance to stand thereto share my ideas about my hometown with you all.
A culture creats a city, the water and soil bring up the people. At thefoot of Erlang mountain, in the middle of Sichuan province, lies a small townnamed Tian Quan. I am proud to say: it is my hometown.
Wherever I go, Tian Quan stays in my deep memory forever. I can not forgetthe place where I was born and grow up, I can not forget the place wheresurrounded by green mountains and water, I can not forget the good and honestpeople who working hard in there, I can not forget every river, every streetthere.
Standing at the top of the WenBi mountain, you will catch a bird’s eye viewof the whole Tian Quan. You will find it is a beautiful picture including themordern colour and old smell.
Looking at the lovly provious animals , such as panda, Takin, Goldenmonkey. You will thinks the nature has special power to make life sowonderful.
My hometown has a long history of culture. There is thetea-horse-accient-way, which attracts Chinese and foreign tourists to visit .Walking on the tea-horse-accient-way, you can’t help sign in regret how long ourculture is!
Tian Quan is also famous for it’s culture of tea. In summer , the farmerswork on the tea plantations, you will regard it as a lively picture. If you havea chance to work on the tea plantations, you can’t miss it! You can enjoy thetea and learn more about tea at the same time .How wonderful it is!
I want to say a song for my hometown, but I don’t know what kinds of musicis fit for her, I want to write a poem for her, but I don’t know what words candescribe her.

there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular inchina。 on the one hand，some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t haveare reasonable and meaningful，such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc。 onthe other hand，the prevalence of globalization enables western culture toprevail in china。 overwhelmed by such a trend，chinese unconsiciously getinvolved in western holidays and culture。
with the further development of the whole world，the cultural communicationbetween different countries and nations becomes faster and more and moreimportant。 we are indeed from different nations，but we are the citizens of thesame world，so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealthof everyone on the earth。the only way for us to protect our traditional cultureis to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no。 what we ought todo is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure oursplendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture。 only by educating canwe set our confidence and belief towards our culture。 only by educating can wepreserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us。

去年十二月，我要教四個(gè)班的英語(yǔ)、要忙于迎接期末考試、要為教師文藝匯演緊張地排練、要為圣誕節(jié)英語(yǔ)晚會(huì)準(zhǔn)備初中七年級(jí)的英語(yǔ)節(jié)目。初中生懂的英語(yǔ)比較少，我沒(méi)法將臺(tái)詞寫(xiě)下來(lái)讓他們自己去背，只能嘴對(duì)嘴的一字一詞地教。緊張的排練和不定時(shí)的加班幾乎壓垮了我，我真想甩手不干了。
有一天幾遍排練下來(lái)后孩子們已經(jīng)練得氣喘吁吁了，我說(shuō)：“你們累了，就早點(diǎn)休息吧！”可是沒(méi)有一個(gè)孩子離開(kāi)我，他們圍在我身邊仰著小臉懇切地說(shuō)：“老師，咱們?cè)倬氁粫?huì)兒吧！我們不累！真的，我們不怕累！”看著孩子們汗津津的小臉，我突然感到自己是那么的軟弱。我說(shuō)，你們不怕，老師也不怕，咱們一起練。排練結(jié)束后，我和孩子們一起笑著鬧著，心里感受到一種從未有過(guò)的輕松，我知道是孩子們幫助了我，鼓舞了我。當(dāng)我在臺(tái)下看著他們成功的表演時(shí)，淚水再也忍不住地流了下來(lái)，作為一名人民教師愛(ài)的奉獻(xiàn)是無(wú)盡的。

My name is Dongqi Yang from china, I am horror to be here today and I amvery happy to receive this award.
As you can imagine, as international students in Australia, the biggestchallenge is English,
I remembered that when I come here first time, there is a party in thehouse of my home stay. During the time, they played jokes and they laughed allthe time, do you know how embarrassed that is, everyone laughed except you. So Ipretend to understand the joke in another party, I saw everyone laugh and Ilaugh too in 5 seconds later. My home stay was surprised about that and asked me“do you understand?”，and I answered “no”，“So why do you laugh?” ”because I donot want to be embarrassed”!
But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because theyencourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home,play computer and speak Chinese.
When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who isinternational student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage mejoin SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even knowwhat SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRCanymore. But she said “why not? You should go and you have to go!”I asked” why?”she said:” because I said so!”
But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me alot.
Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but Iappreciate this award and I will try my best in future.
I think I got 10 seconds left, I want to thank to Les and Vera who is mylovely home stay, thanks to Liz collar who is international student coordinator,I strongly want to thank to my mother, because she support me and gave me theopportunity to come to Australia. And thanks to Wantinran College, thanks toAustralia and finally, thanks to everyone to be here tonight.
