　　Now the single day comes, it is on December 11th, people admit this day as a day for the person who has no girlfriend or boyfriend, but this day has lately became a shopping day, because on that day, shopping online will give people a great discount, since then, more and more people are willing to shopping online on the single day, I am one of them, I just can’t stopping buying things.

　　如今光棍節(jié)就要到來了，那是在十一月十一號，人們默認那天屬于那些沒有女朋友或者男朋友的人，但是這個日子最近慢慢演變成了購物節(jié)，因為在那一天，網上購物有很大的優(yōu)惠，打從那時候起，越來越多的'人愿意在光棍節(jié)買網上購物，我就是期中一個，我就是無法停止買東西。

　　I like to go to shopping, when I see the beautiful dress, I will take no hesitation to buy them, I just can’t control my mind. Since shopping online develops fast, I find an easy way to buy things, there are all kinds of styles, I feel I lack them all, so I want to buy them. When the single day comes, I couldn’t resist the temptation from the great discount, I want to buy the clothes which will be in great discount. In the long term, I have no place to put on my clothes.

　　我喜歡逛街，當我看見美麗的裙子的時候，我會毫不猶豫就買，我就是不能控制自己的思想。自從網上購物的快速發(fā)展，我找到了一條容易購物的渠道，網上有各種各樣的風格，我感到自己都缺乏這些風格，因此我都想要買。當光棍節(jié)到來的時候，我無法抵制這些低折扣的誘惑，我想要買這些低折扣的衣服。這樣下來，我就沒有地方來放我的衣服了。

　　My uncontrolled purchase desire annoys me all the time, I realize that I must get rid of it, so I tell myself to stop buying, I must learn to control my desire.

　　我無法控制的購物欲望總是煩擾著我，我意識到我必須擺脫這些欲望，因此我告訴自己停止買東西，我必須學著去控制自己的愿望。

　　之前，英語是我的弱項；后來，英語成為了我的強項。這之間，讓我懂得了堅持的力量。

　　失敗

　　之前，英語是我最差的一項，于是，我被強迫著去上昂立英語。

　　一進門，迎來的是新同學們的目光，他們上下打量著我。第一次課，我百無聊賴地上完，幾乎什么也沒有聽進去。

　　第二次課，老師說要測驗，我心里一驚，“怎么辦？我回家一點也沒有復習”。

　　發(fā)成績單了，我心里一陣緊張，“argon，九十五，mary，九十八……aaron七十九”老師說到我的時候，還皺了皺眉頭，我的心情也瞬間跌到了谷底。

　　努力

　　回到家，我的心情沮喪不已，天公仿佛也知道了我的心思，陰沉沉的，下起了雨來�！盎貋砝玻俊眿寢尩囊宦暫魡敬蚱屏思澎o，“嗯！”說完我就一溜煙地跑進了自己的.房間，開始搜查“如何學好英語”的答案。突然我發(fā)現老師在微信上給我發(fā)了一條消息：

　　“你想學好英語嗎？”我回答：“嗯！”

　　“你上次在家復習了嗎？”“沒有�！�

　　“從現在開始，你要做好這三步：課前預習，上課認真聽講，課后好好復習�！薄爸懒�，謝謝老師！”

　　說完，我開始認真復習英語。

　　成功

　　第三次，考試時，我胸有成竹地寫完了試卷。

　　報成績了，我考了滿分，出門的一剎那，我感覺到這冬天的陽光溫暖了許多。

　　那以后我堅持好的學習習慣，英語再也不是我的弱項了，而是我最好的一項，同時，我也忘不了老師對我的教育。

　　It’s generally accepted that confidence plays a very vital role in one’s life. But do you really know what dose self-confidence mean? Well, it means that you have strong belief that you can do things and you will succeed in the end. If you want to do something well, you must have faith in yourself. Just like the old saying goes, confidence in yourself is the first step on the road to success. Otherwise, you may hardly to do anything right. Some people love to complain how incapable they are or how difficult their tasks are, they never think about the problem in themselves, which is lack of confidence. If they fail, they will refuse to have another try. Then they will never ever have the chance to overcome difficulties.

　　人們普遍認為，自信在個人的生活中扮演著重要的角色。但你知道“自信”指的究竟是什么嗎？它意味著你非常相信自己能把事情做好。如果你想做好某事，那么你就得對自己有信心。俗話說得好：自信是通向成功之路的第一步。否則，你很難成功。有些人很喜歡抱怨自己是多么的無能；或者他們的任務是多么的艱難。這些都是缺乏自信的表現。如果他們失敗了，就拒絕再試一次。如此，他們便失去了克服困難的機會。

　　There are several reasons why people feel no confidence about themselves when they meet the challenges. First of all, they underestimate themselves. Second, they tend to overestimate the problems that in front of them. Last but not least, they are afraid of losing their face or making terrible mistakes if they fail.

　　當人們面對挑戰(zhàn)的時候之所以會不自信，有如下的幾個原因。首先，他們低估了自己的能力；其次，又高估了所面對的困難。最后一點，他們害怕丟臉或是被他人嘲笑，如果他們真的失敗了的話。

　　There are many ways for us to build up self-confidence. Emerson used to say: “Self-trust is the first secret of success.” Before we do something, we should make full preparations and try to encourage ourselves that we will success. If we fail, don’t be afraid, try again; or turn to others for help. If we can overcome the adversities this time, then we will gain some confidence. Step by step, we would become more and more confident. We should have a right attitude toward our abilities and should never look down upon ouurselves. The chief thing to remember is: failure is the mother of success.

　　塑造信心有很多種方式。艾默生曾經說過：“自信是成功的第一秘訣”。在我們做事情之前，先做好充分準備并盡量鼓勵自己，相信自己會成功。如果我們失敗了，也別害怕，再試一次；或者像他人求助。如果這一次我們能夠克服困難，那么，我們的.自信心就會增加。一步一步的，就會變得越來越自信。對自己的能力，也應該有個正確的態(tài)度，不要低估自己的能力。最需謹記的是：失敗是成功之母。

　　When you visit London, one of the first things you will see is Big Ben, the famous clock which can be heard all over the world on the B.B.C. If the Houses of Parliament had not been burned down in 1834, the great clock would never have been erected. Big Ben takes its name from Sir Benjamin Hall who was responsible for the making of the clock when the new Houses of Parliament were being built. It is not only of immense size, but is extremely accurate as well. Officials from Greenwich Observatory have the clock checked twice a day. On the B.B.C. you can hear the clock when it is actually striking because microphones are connected to the clock tower. Big Ben has rarely gone wrong. Once, however, it failed to give the correct time.

　　A painter who had been working on the tower hung a pot of paint on one of the hands and slowed it down!
