Whenever I hear that a lot of people have died of hunger in this strife-ridden world, I cannot but hope that I have this computer in hand to find the way to provide an endless supply of food. In that case we wouldn‘t worry about starvation when a war breaks out or when some disaster occurs. Personally I even wish it could help me improve my English. But the long and short of it is that ever powerful it may be, the computer, as we can safely predict, cannot cure all the ills of mankind and cannot surmount all the difficulties we constantly run into. However, we enjoy being dreamers, for in dreams we can find happiness often denied us.

　　我覺得兩種意見有有理，因為持意見人學(xué)英語的目的不同，所以難免各有所見。但我更偏向于第一種。就我個人來說，理由有三。

　　首先我喜歡美景，尤其是那地中海柔軟的沙灘、明媚的陽光，和愛琴海湛藍(lán)的海水以及那撲面而來的.浪漫氣息，多么令人陶醉。所以為了能順利地在國外溜達(dá)，學(xué)好英語是十分必要的。要是能結(jié)交個黃發(fā)碧眼的俊男美女，那豈不是更過癮？！
