　　If it had not been for your timely assistance in giving me first aid, I fear that the consequences might have been much serious. Everyone agrees that it was your quick-witted response in that emergency that has led to this satisfactory outcome.

　　Although nowadays people in mounting numbers talk about the need to be unselfish, we see very few people practice what they preach. If there were more people like you, this world would be a much nicer place.

　　In Tianjin,there are many buildings of bygone times.Some of them are imposing and have great artistic and historic value.However,these buildings do mot fit in well with each other,because most of them were built by foreigners in different times.The traffic in the city is not very convenient.The street are usually narrow and twisted.If the government wanted to have them widened,a large number of buildings would have to be pulled down.Some buildings are too old and are nothing more than cottages,and in place of them,some new high buildings have been set up.However,the new ones are still few and in many places they seem quite out of place.

　　Yet those Western-style buildings give Tianjin a different characteristic from other cities and those new ones lend the city fresh vitality which will spread rapidly with the reform going on.

　　這個學期，我的英語成績有了一點退步，媽媽將我和妹妹送到了英語培訓班。我在培訓班交到了朋友，學到了知識，在英語課上還發(fā)生了許多趣事，在玩中學，在學中玩。

　　愛英文電影看英文電影

　　記得前幾天英語課下課之后，老師放英文電影給我們看。我們看完了《小黃人大眼萌》這部電影，意猶未盡，還想再看一部英文電影，可惜上課了。正好這節(jié)課是上第八單元，全部都是水果單詞，老師請一位同學讀單詞，他讀到“apple蘋果，banana香蕉。”當他讀到最后一個單詞香蕉時，有同學靈機一動，不禁想到電影上的一句話，便大聲說道：“無窮banana!"同學們先是愣了一下，隨后全部哈哈大笑，課堂瞬間變成了同學們的自由英語時間了。

　　考試過后悲歡交加

　　前幾天我所在的這個派斯英語初級1班剛剛考過試，有的同學考得不太理想，愁眉苦臉；有的同學考得還不錯，便邁著輕松地步伐，蹦蹦跳跳地回家了。有的同學便在一起分析考卷，時不時幾聲嘆氣聲，時不時幾聲歡呼聲。第二天，我得知自己考了91分，班上一個100分，一個七十多分的，分別是最高和最低成績。高興的'是，我考了九十多分，因為老師說這次卷子有點難度，能考九十分非常棒了。可是女生平均成績還是比男生高，因為這次滿分是班里一名女生，哎！

　　學習英語不僅要在學校課堂上學，在培訓班學，在家也要復習英語，還能超前自學英語。從培訓班放學回家后，我都要按照培訓班老師要求，播放英語光盤進行跟讀復習，每次看光盤的時候，我總是認真聽，并且好好跟讀。在家我也經(jīng)常拿著英語書在媽媽面前讀一讀。

　　英語不僅打開了我們?nèi)伺c人之間的心門，還讓我們能與外國人輕松交流。哦，我愛英語！

Millions of square meters of forest are cut down yearly and thrown away as disposable chopsticks. Tons of trash is produced daily with disposable products.
