The first person to propose the idea of Father’s Day was Mrs. Dodd in 1906. She wanted a special day to honor her father, whose wife passed away many years ago. At first, Mrs. Dodd wanted Father’s Day to be celebrated on her father’s birthday, but later President Johnson signed a paper to declare the third Sunday of June was Father’s Day. Since then, it became an international day. It is not only to honor one’s father, but also the fathers of all the people.
Father’s Day reminds people to show gratitude to their fathers, who loves you all the time and no matter what difficulty you meet, he will stand by your side. So however busy we are, we should call them now and then.

When we entered the high school, my English was very poor while he was very good at English. He helped me learn it every day. When I met any difficulty, he tried his best to help me overcome it. When I lost confidence, he would give me an encouragement in time. With his kind help, I made great progress in English.
I thank Jack very much. Although we are not in the same class now, we still keep in touch. So he is also one of my best friends.

(一)作文考試概況
寫作部分測試學(xué)生用英語進行書面表達的能力，所占分值比例為15%，考試時間30分鐘。寫作測試選用考生所熟悉的題材，要求考生根據(jù)所提供的信息及提示(如：提綱、情景、圖片或圖表等)寫出一篇短文，四級120-180詞，六級150-200詞。
(二)作文評分原則
1. CET是檢查考生是否達到大學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱規(guī)定的六級教學(xué)要求，對作文的評判應(yīng)以此要求為準(zhǔn)則。
2. CET作文題采用總體評分(Global Scoring)方法。閱卷人員就總的印象給出獎勵分(Reward Scores)，而不是按語言點的錯誤數(shù)目扣分。
3. 從內(nèi)容和語言兩個方面對作文進行綜合評判。內(nèi)容和語言是一個統(tǒng)一體，作文應(yīng)表達題目所規(guī)定的`內(nèi)容，而內(nèi)容要通過語言來表達。要考慮作文是否切題，是否充分表達思想，也要考慮是否用英語清楚而確切地表達思想，也就是要考慮語言上的錯誤是否造成理解上的障礙。
4. 避免趨中傾向。該給高分的給高分，包括滿分;該給低分的給低分，包括0分，一名閱卷人員在所閱的全部作文卷中不應(yīng)只給中間的幾種分數(shù)。
(三)作文評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)
本題滿分為15分，成績分為六個檔次：13-15分、10-12分、7-9分、4-6分、1-3分和0分。各檔次的評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)見下表：
1、13-15分
切題。表達思想清楚，文字通順、連貫，基本上無語言錯誤，僅有個別小錯。
2、10-12分
切題。表達思想清楚，文字較連貫，但有少量語言錯誤。
3、7-9分
基本切題。有些地方表達思想不夠清楚，文字勉強連貫;語言錯誤相當(dāng)多，其中有一些是嚴重錯誤。
4、4-6分
基本切題。表達思想不清楚，連貫性差。有較多的嚴重語言錯誤。
5、1-3分
條理不清，思路紊亂，語言支離破碎或大部分句子均有錯誤，且多數(shù)為嚴重錯誤。
6、0分
未作答，或只有幾個孤立的詞，或作文與主題毫不相關(guān)。

The graph shows the increase in the ageing population in Japan, Sweden and the USA. It indicates that the
porcentage of elderly people in all three countries is expected to increase to almost 25% of the respective populations by the year 20xx.
In 1940 the proportion of people aged 65 or more atood at only 5% in Japan, approximately 7% in Sweden and 9% in the US. However, while the figures for the Western countries grew to about 15% in around 1990,the figure for Japan dippped to only 2.5% for much of this period, before rising to almost 5% again at the present time.
In spite of some fluctuation in the expected percentages, the proportion of older people will probably continue to increase in the next two decades in the three countries. A more dramatic rise is predicted between 20xx and 20xx in Japan, by which time it is thought that the proportion of elderly people will be simliar in the three countries.
