My name is Nick. I’m in Grade 9. Today, I really want to join this activity, because I really want to do something to help people.
I joined a volunteer activity when I was young. I really enjoyed it. For example, I did many good things for old people, such as cleaning up the yards, washing the vegetables and so on. They are all things that I can do them well. So I have realized showing your warm heart to the old is very important. Of course, donating your kindness is helpful a lot.
In my opinion, making them happy is one of the best ways to help them. So if I have this chance, I can clean up their rooms, cheer them up and sing songs or tell stories for them. As we all know, on the one hand, we can help the old people to live better. On the other hand, helping others is helping ourselves.

第一次知道新概念英語是在電視上，但我并不相信所謂的速記30天學(xué)會(huì)。后來在20xx年我看到了正版的原書也知道電視上的不過是傍名牌的盜版而已。為了讓英語更好，我就慢慢學(xué)習(xí)。四本書買回來算是嚇了一跳，內(nèi)容估計(jì)比小學(xué)加初中的還要多，我又屬于自學(xué)，于是我選擇了一條笨路：開始死記硬背單詞。這并不是一個(gè)好方法，根據(jù)我近年來的經(jīng)驗(yàn)應(yīng)該從課文語法入手，單詞不用強(qiáng)記，多看自然會(huì)。但是既然選擇了這條路，只能一路向前，因?yàn)闀r(shí)間有限只能在寒暑假背。就這樣我在20xx年7月1日正式開始了這段歷程。一開始一天背20個(gè)，一個(gè)暑假就背掉了第一冊，但是我發(fā)現(xiàn)不經(jīng)過鞏固，過段時(shí)間就忘了，我不得不重新復(fù)習(xí)。隨著時(shí)間流逝，上個(gè)暑假我的日任務(wù)已經(jīng)越來越重——新背的.一天50個(gè)，復(fù)習(xí)一天200個(gè)，而且兩項(xiàng)通常要一起做，不過辛苦已經(jīng)有回報(bào)了。20xx年8月12日，我全部背完了4冊共計(jì)約4500個(gè)單詞，并在暑假里全部復(fù)習(xí)多遍。
但是不會(huì)活用是不行的。這些單詞的優(yōu)勢就只限于少花背單詞的時(shí)間或者閱讀中猜生詞，詞意直接知道，這沒什么巨大優(yōu)勢，所以以這個(gè)寒假開始要通課文，因?yàn)榇蟛糠忠呀?jīng)學(xué)過所以進(jìn)度快，大約一天四課（如果我花更多點(diǎn)時(shí)間比如90分鐘在上面也許一天可做10課）。
通過這幾年對新概念英語的學(xué)習(xí)，也讓我知道沒有隨隨便便的成功。徐可易之的強(qiáng)也是因?yàn)樗烁嗟臅r(shí)間，懶，人人都有，克服是不容易的。要我在假期里保持學(xué)校的高強(qiáng)度也是不可能，就讓我保證一天用上6小時(shí)在學(xué)習(xí)上吧。

While in China, the situation is very different. Children can see any movie. I think the movie rating system is in need. As a kid, it is not suitable to watch too much violence and sex stuff in the screen. Some kids will be very curious and like to imitate, then some of them will do criminal things. Or some children will feel really bad after seeing the disgusting shots, which may have negative effect on them for a lifetime. Parents need to think of their children when they go to the theater.
