farmers all over the world know the importance and immutability of the seasons. they know that there is a season to plant and a season to harvest; everything must be done in its own time. although the rain pours down with the utmost relentlessness, ceasing all outdoor activities, the man of the field lifts his face to the heavens and smiles. despite the inconvenience, he knows that the rain provides the nourishment his crops need to grow and flourish. the torrential rains in the month of april, give rise to the glorious flowers in the month of may.
but this ancient truth applies to more than the crops of the fields; it is an invaluable message of hope to all who experience tragedy in life. a dashed relationship with one can open up the door to a brand new friendship with another. a lost job here can provide the opportunity for a better job there. a broken dream can become the foundation of a wonderful future. everything has its place.
remember this: overwhelming darkness may endure for a night, but it will never overcome the radiant light of the morning. when you are in a season of sorrow, hang in there, because a season of joy may be just around the corner…

with the development of machines, noise has also increased greatly in the 20th century. we live surrounded by loud planes, trucks and electric tools. tv sets and radios add up to 90 or j00 decibels, a certain unit used to measure the loudness of sound. a normal dialogue reaches 55 decibels; a plane goes to 100, and an ordinary train, reaching the station, can be twice as loud as the loudest plane. disco music reaches about 118. at 120 decibels the ear stops hearing sound, and pain starts. how terrible if things go on like this!

Online Games
As a product of modern computer and the Internet, online games have become very popular among college students. A great many students have enjoyed great pleasure and satisfaction from these games. But as we see, some students lacking self-discipline are too much indulged in these games so that their health and academic performances are affected. This phenomenon has caused much worry from the teachers and parents.
However, some others argue that online games are not always harmful. They can train the ability of youngsters to respond to things quickly. Moreover, they can stimulate their imagination and their interest in computer science. More importantly, it does bring college students much pleasure and release their pressure greatly.
From my point of view, online games are a wonderful entertainment if college students play them in a reasonable way. When they interfere too much with their study, it is better for to give them up at once. Yet if youngsters have enough self-control over them, they can certainly obtain real pleasure and benefit a lot from them.

一年一度的“English Festival”又要到了，上一年英語(yǔ)節(jié)我未參加，為此還挺遺憾，今年又豈能錯(cuò)過(guò)？
班里主要籌劃了《百萬(wàn)英鎊》與《宋定伯》這兩個(gè)節(jié)目，大概有二十人參加吧。這兩個(gè)劇本情節(jié)豐富，英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)的難度也不低，參加英語(yǔ)節(jié)，劇本既有趣，又不乏“技術(shù)含量”。且兩個(gè)節(jié)目的演員們都挺上心，下午便分別進(jìn)行了排練。
我們與老師一起在學(xué)校排練，《百萬(wàn)英鎊》劇組的演員們到齊后就整體性的開(kāi)始一遍遍排練。
《百萬(wàn)英鎊》是一部小說(shuō)，內(nèi)容當(dāng)然極為豐富，十分鐘左右當(dāng)然演不完，我們飾演了男主獲得百萬(wàn)英鎊支票后去買(mǎi)衣服的情節(jié)。
第一遍整體下來(lái)后，用了十幾分鐘，一是我們并不對(duì)自己飾演的.角色很有充分的了解，所以很多對(duì)話，上下場(chǎng)都誤了時(shí)間，二是劇情的確不短，對(duì)每個(gè)人，猶其是“老板”與“青年”有很大考驗(yàn)。
一部話劇并不是那么容易就能演的繪聲繪色，風(fēng)趣又有技術(shù)含量在內(nèi)的，它需要通過(guò)每個(gè)人演員用心的去對(duì)戲、背稿，將自己當(dāng)成所飾演的角色融入場(chǎng)景，這絕非易事。我們?nèi)绻梢赃_(dá)到每個(gè)演員都融入其的境界，英語(yǔ)節(jié)的演出絕對(duì)不成問(wèn)題。
但僅僅幾小時(shí)的排練并不能提高很多，下午，過(guò)了幾遍戲，老師也對(duì)戲做出了一些調(diào)整，總體來(lái)說(shuō)，一個(gè)大框架算是固定了，最后一遍是七分鐘多完成的。每個(gè)演員也都對(duì)自己的角色、戲分有了較為多的了解，但很多細(xì)節(jié)，如表情、動(dòng)作、語(yǔ)氣等都還欠缺不少，脫稿對(duì)于詞多的同學(xué)也是一個(gè)難題。
預(yù)選賽不遠(yuǎn)了，希望勤加練習(xí)，《百萬(wàn)英鎊》與《宋定伯》兩個(gè)節(jié)目都可以突破重圍，獲得那五個(gè)名額中的一個(gè)！
