　　As we all know, the Chinese Ministry of Education released a smoking-free policy in campus on 29th January this year. And during the past 10 years, there were an alarming increase in students smoking which is quite disturbing. But in fact, smoking is such a bad habit that does great harm to smokers’ health as well as the people around.

　　如今已是21世紀，英語已成為世界語言，我才剛剛接受英語，對英語了解的甚是膚淺，因此上網(wǎng)惡補了一番。英語，english，也稱美語，作為當今世界事實上的國際社交語言，它取得的成功是史無前例的。從使用它的人口來說，以英語為母語的人數(shù)僅次于漢語而居世界第二位，大約有四億多人。英語是用音標拼成的，我的《英漢小詞典》上約有5500個單詞和短語。oh！mygood！漢語有好幾萬個呢，英語才那么少，怪不是是世界語的'，越方便越適于交流嘛！不過，英語據(jù)我所知，有一般現(xiàn)在式、一般過去式、一般將來式……好多啊！今天，我在網(wǎng)上找到一個劍橋英語網(wǎng)站，里面有好多英語語法呢，還有什么“劍橋英語一級單體預備表”、“劍橋英語一級筆記”、“如何記單詞”、“英語大全444法”看的我是眼花繚亂、目不暇接。我在上面啃了一天，還找到了444個日常口頭用語，我一個一個的把它們拼寫下來，不過那么多個我怎么全會呢？所以就得用字典了，在網(wǎng)上也有英語字典，我遇到不會的單詞就在上面查，這種字典是有英語單詞、音標和釋義的那種，很好用。唔，英語，你真有趣。
