　　高考英語的作文Our English Teacher(我的英語老師)【1】

　　We have a good English teacher whose name is Bruce. He comes from Britain and he is about forty years old. He is a tall and thin person, wearing a pair of glasses which makes him more like a gentleman.

　　He is strict with us. He often makes full preparations for his class and corrects our homework carefully. His teaching style is very unique, because he is used to encouraging all of us to think by ourselves and study on our own. The relationship between Bruce and us is harmonious. He is so kind and friendly that every student likes him and respects him deeply.

　　Our teacher is so excellent that we all love him very much.

　　我們有一個(gè)很好的英語老師，他的名字叫布魯斯。他來自英國，大約40歲。他是一個(gè)又高又瘦的人，戴著一副眼鏡，這使他顯得更有紳士風(fēng)度。

　　It was my birthday yesterday. I got a lot of gifts. All of them were covered with coloured paper. Among them there were two interesting ones.

　　My elder sister gave me a round paper bag and I thought it was a football. BUt when I opened it, it turned out to be a clock. My brother gave me a message, saying that "My present has been put in your bedroom. "As soon as I went into my bedroom, I found a box. I opened it and found a laptop. I was very happy.

　　These two presents aim to let me study hard and not to waste time.

　　昨天是我的生日，我收到了很多禮物。它們用彩紙包著，其中有兩件有趣的東西。

　　The world will be stunned by China's opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on August 8 in Beijing, The Sydney Morning Herald said on Friday.

　　In a story about the rehearsal of the Olympic opening ceremony on Wednesday night, the paper quoted Ric Birch, a chief adviser to the director of the ceremony Zhang Yimou, as saying that "The world can expect, of course, to be gobsmacked."

　　Birch, an Australian, has been involved in all the opening ceremonies since he cemented his reputation as a creative guru at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984.

　　The story said the extravagant light show of the rehearsal also featured the inner shell of Beijing National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest, lit in a vibrant red.

　　It added that Zhang Yimou has been trying to fit 5,000 years of Chinese culture into 50 minutes during the grand opening ceremony. However, weather is another challenge for the ceremony, the paper added.
