When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

　　It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds." But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of Gods children. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the Negro. This sweltering summer of the Negros legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning.

　　我們在一起先吃了年夜飯，那可真的是非常豐盛啊!有雞肉，魚肉，鴨肉，還有兔子肉。我們吃完了年夜飯便到電視機(jī)前看春節(jié)聯(lián)歡晚會。我看見了那優(yōu)美動人的舞姿;聽見了那些窮苦孩子的心聲;也看到了那些幽默的相聲小品。我們大家在電視機(jī)前時而歡樂，時而為那些窮苦孩子感到痛心。自從看了那趙本山與宋丹丹演的那個小品，今年的流行語肯定是：你太有才了!我們看完了這個小品，笑了足足有3分鐘，尤其是宋丹丹說得廣告詞：“下蛋公雞，公雞中的戰(zhàn)斗雞!”再加上她的動作，令我笑得是前仰后合!

　　后來，我們看完了春節(jié)聯(lián)歡晚會就來到樓下放鞭炮和煙花。嗖的一聲，煙花飛出去了，頓時空中是五彩繽紛啊!紅的，綠的，藍(lán)的，紫的，黃的，萬家的`燈火齊刷刷的開著，那“一束束花”在空中飛舞，嬉戲!那鞭炮更是震耳欲聾，特大特響的禮花更是美麗之極!這邊一個，那邊一個，使得天空變得更加燦爛!河兩旁的霓虹燈襯托出的煙花更加美麗，猶如一個少女!
