　　I don't think that animals should be trained to amuse human beings, because animals are our friends. Is there anybody will train their friend to amuse themselves?Of course not. For example, we make use of dogs’ sensitive sense of smell to track down odors to help us in finding things which is difficult for humans to do. We also train sea lions to carry video cameras on their backs to record the natural behavior of whales. Because humans could never dive to the depths at which whales swim but sea lions can.

　　During our daily life, we also need animals to help us to do some things that are not necessary to do by ourselves. For example, we train monkeys to take care of the quadriplegics, train dogs to lead the blinder as guiders and so on.

　　In a word, we need animals’ help; animals should be trained to help humans. But animals also have emotions, so when we train them to help us, we shouldn’t regard them as slaves, but friends.

　　Animals Need Protecting

　　Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States alone are considered in danger.

　　Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more. Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting.
