My most recent assignment was to manage projects at Forte Products Company to develop products for the commercial roofing industry. Part of my responsibility was to provide technical support to sales people, when they had questions of a technical nature from their engineering or architectural customers.
I have experience in quality assurance and the application of control charting to a large insulation line at Forte Products. This resulted in a 23% reduction in scrap and a 76% reduction in customer complaints.

英語的特點(diǎn)也是指信函正文的特點(diǎn)。英語信不同于其它體裁的英語作文,它并不要求華麗的詞藻,也不講究修辭。概括起來,英語求職信有如下幾個(gè)特點(diǎn):
(1) Clearness(明了):要突出的主題,開場(chǎng)白要直截了當(dāng),不要繞圈子,應(yīng)直接道明寫信意圖,在介紹個(gè)人情況時(shí),應(yīng)多說你能為公司做些什么。另外,層次要分明,使讀信人一目了然。
(2) Conciseness(簡潔):言簡意賅,文字力求簡短。把必要的事項(xiàng)說清楚,不提與無關(guān)的事。盡量使用短句,少用復(fù)合句、避免陳詞濫調(diào)。
(3) Correctness(準(zhǔn)確):達(dá)意準(zhǔn)確。平時(shí)要注意語言修養(yǎng)的提高,隨時(shí)收集并掌握豐富的常用習(xí)慣短語,這樣才能在寫時(shí)運(yùn)用自如,做到語言的準(zhǔn)確。信中應(yīng)避免使用過多的形容詞和副詞。
(4) Politeness(禮貌):話語要禮貌、既要尊重對(duì)方,又要切忌迎合,恭維或表現(xiàn)得過分熱情,態(tài)度要不卑不亢。獲得招聘消息后應(yīng)及時(shí)寫、拖延時(shí)間也是不禮貌的。 為了使英語信明了、簡潔、準(zhǔn)確和禮貌,應(yīng)該注意如下幾點(diǎn):
A、 陳述自己的工作能力要實(shí)事求是,不要夸夸其談,過分渲染自己。如果高淡闊論夸大自己的優(yōu)點(diǎn),就會(huì)給讀信人留下一種虛浮不踏實(shí)的感覺。應(yīng)如實(shí)介紹自己的情況,讓對(duì)方去判斷你的能力。
B、 說明離職原因時(shí)切勿批評(píng)目前的工作單位或負(fù)責(zé)人。如果你對(duì)目前的工作單位或負(fù)責(zé)人說三道四大發(fā)牢騷,就會(huì)讓讀信人認(rèn)為你是個(gè)愛說長道短搬弄是非之人。試想,有誰會(huì)愿意把一個(gè)愛發(fā)牢騷而搬弄是非的人招聘到自己的單位來呢?
C、 自卑自貶亦不可取。如果自己都看不起自己,別人還能看得起你嗎?殊不知,招聘單位對(duì)你的估計(jì)是根據(jù)你對(duì)自己的估計(jì)做出的,因此,故作謙卑也只能是恰得其反。
D、 語氣須肯定而自信,要有創(chuàng)意,應(yīng)避免迂腐、生僻的詞。
