on this symposium, ms. ulaan, member of the standing committee of the cpc inner mongolia autonomous region, minister of the publicity ministry of inner mongolia autonomous region gives a very important inspiring and heart-stirring speech, in particular her three suggestions for the future mongolian studies has great significance of enlightenment and instruction to the international mongolian studies, especially to the cause of mongolian studies in china. researcher wu tuan-ying, the office director of the organizing committee of the symposium, cpc secretary and the president of the inner mongolia academy of social science gives an ardent address. mr. ishidorji from iams reads the address from prof. sh. bira, general secretary of the international association for mongolian studies, academician of mongolia academy of science and expresses his passionate expectations for the success of the symposium, his warm welcome to all the experts and scholars attending the symposium. he especially highly values and appreciates the achievements of mongolian studies in china and inner mongolia and sends us his warm congratulations on the opening of the chinese second international symposium on mongolian studies. all the experts and scholars are deeply inspired.
the theme of the symposium —— “innovation and development of mongolian studies” is reflected in the thematic report of the symposium. the report systematically looks back and summarizes the new achievements of international mongolian studies gained since the first chinese international symposium on mongolian studies held in august 2005, reflects the new trend and time features of the international mongolian studies. the four suggestions including serving the construction of a harmonious world put forward in the report has received very warm respond of the experts and scholars and they will surely have far-reaching influence on the circle of international mongolian studies and produce guiding functions. the four sessions have made a centralized research and heated discussion on the prominent, hotspot and hardy issues. well known scholars professor zhunastu, huhe, norjin, masaru hashimoto, prof. dulaan, zhalga, bailgalsaihan, suyug, namujil and experts darizhav, baildugchi, hiroki oka, dashidawa, hasumi haruo, vanchikova tsymzit, ch. ligzima, enghechimeg, zhagar, gereltu, pongsog, unen, buhechuluu, and aochi have given high level sub-session speech. professor wang ding-zhu, prof. wang mandag, professor baildugchi and researcher unen have made wonderful speech of summarization representing the four sessions of language and script, literature, history and nomadic culture and folk customs. all this has shown that the chinese second international symposium on mongolian studies is a symposium with high start point and high level and it will surely write a very brilliant page in the history of international mongolian studies.
dear leaders, all the experts and scholars, ladies and gentlemen, piece and development is now still the two prominent themes of the current world. mr. hu jin-tao, chairman of the people’s republic of china has emphasized in many international conferences that all the countries in the world should make more contributions to the construction of a harmonious world. constructing a harmonious world is the strong desire and wonderful pursue of the people all over the world and it should justly be the requirement of the time to mongolian studies. nowadays, as an international discipline with ever growing influence, mongolian studies is playing more and more role in the realization of the peace and development of the world and the construction of a harmonious world. based on the deep accumulation of the preceding research, mongolian studies has taken on a new development tendency of ever growing highly comprehensive and newly arising disciplines, new personnel of mongolian studies in the international range and the situation of the development of mongolian studies are inspiring. with the further deepening and enlarging of the reforming and opening in china, the chinese mongolian studies will be following the step of the world and make further progress. all the experts and scholars in the field of mongolian studies, dear colleagues, hand in hand, let us have more brilliant and outstanding achievement in the 21st century of the innovation and development of mongolian studies. let us promise to meet in the third chinese international symposium on mongolian studies in 2011 with our more excellent new achievements.
