　　奧斯卡獲獎感言【1】

　　Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his first Oscar for his portrayal of Hugh Glass in The Revenant, and he delivered a powerful message about climate change while accepting his award on Sunday night.

　　萊昂納多·迪卡普里奧最終因在《荒野獵人》中飾演休·格拉斯獲得了第一個奧斯卡小金人，他在周日晚上的一番領(lǐng)獎詞提到了氣候變化，并傳遞了滿滿的正能量。

　　“The Revenant was a product of the tireless efforts of the unbelievable cast and crew I got to workalongside.”

　　“作為《荒野獵人》這個優(yōu)秀劇組的一員，(我得說)《荒野獵人》是整個劇組不懈努力的成果。”

　　tireless effort：超級實(shí)用的詞組。下一次翻譯「孜孜不倦」、「不辭辛勞」這樣的詞組就又多了一個選擇。tireless：tire+less。類似的構(gòu)詞法有：careless;meaningless……

　　unbelievable：難以置信的。這個詞的來源是這樣的：believe(相信)→believable(可信的)→unbelievable(難以置信的)。它的近義詞是：incredible。

　　cast and crew：注意，cast指的是演員團(tuán)隊(duì)，而crew指的是幕后團(tuán)隊(duì)如攝像、劇務(wù)、音效等等。所以cast and crew指的是整個劇組的人。

　　alongside：注意。alongside在這里是一個介詞，所以我們直接可以說work alongside sb。sb之前不用加with。

　　"Making The Revenant was about man's relationship to the natural world, a world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow," he said of filming The Revenant in Argentina. "Climate change is real. It is happening right now. It's the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating...for the billions and billions of underprivileged people who are most affected by this, for our children's children..."

　　man：這里的用man的單數(shù)形式表示「全人類」，用法相對特殊。

　　collectively：一起(副詞)。我們常說的集體主義：collectivism。

　　urgent：緊急的。名詞urgency。

　　face：做動詞，意為「面臨」。

　　species：原意「物種」，當(dāng)然這里指的是人類。

　　procrastinating：難詞，但是很常用，意為「拖延」。名詞形式procrastination，就是我們常說的「拖延癥」。

　　billion：記住啊，是十億!不是一億!所以啊，5億，別一不小心翻譯成5 billion。10億以下更常見的說法是轉(zhuǎn)換成million：500 million。如果數(shù)字在10億以上，那就用billion，比如，15億，就是1.5 billion。

　　underprivileged：窮困潦倒的。

　　DiCaprio continued: "We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters or the big corporations, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people who will be most affected by this. For our children's children and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed, I thank you all for this amazing award tonight.

　　"Let us not take this planet for granted," he concluded. "I do not take tonight for granted. Thank you so much."

　　Thank you so very much：我們常說Thank you very much。但你會發(fā)現(xiàn)老外用so much的場合要比very much更多。當(dāng)然，小李子在這里用了so very much也一定是發(fā)自肺腑。有一些比較正式的場合，你也會聽到Thank you very much indeed這樣的表達(dá)。

　　In 1971, Bossier City, Louisiana, there was a teenage girl who was pregnant with her second child. She was a high school dropout and a single mom, but somehow she managed to make a better life for herself and her children.
