Beowulf is the oldest poem in the English language and the most important specimen of Anglo-Saxon literature.The main stories are based on the folk legends of the primitive northern tribes.
Beowulf is the nephew of king of the Geats who lives in Denmark. He defeated the monster, which raided the hall built by the king of the Danes. Later on, Beowulf becomes king of the Geats. He at last dies a heroic death.
It is a pagan poem, which presents us an all-round picture of the tribal society.
《貝奧武甫》是中世紀(jì)歐洲第一篇民族史詩，英國(guó)文學(xué)的開山之作。
其主要內(nèi)容是講述高特王子貝奧武甫帶領(lǐng)十二勇士來到丹麥王國(guó)，除去惡魔葛婪代及其母親，為丹麥解除禍患贏得和平，得到榮譽(yù)和重賞后回到故土;后來貝奧武甫做了高特國(guó)王，沒想到在五十年后，一條火龍擾亂了王國(guó)的安寧，貝奧武甫雖然已經(jīng)英雄暮年，但仍壯志不已，獨(dú)戰(zhàn)火龍，終于壯烈犧牲。
貝奧武甫的人格結(jié)構(gòu)具有豐富的人性化內(nèi)涵。他的童年經(jīng)歷對(duì)其心理結(jié)構(gòu)的形成影響深刻，在他的身上，超我與本我不斷碰撞與沖突。貝奧武甫以自己的死亡成就了英雄的完美，直到生命的最后，他終于找到了作為英雄的人格結(jié)構(gòu)的和諧。

I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. This is definitely a book everyone can relate to.
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a literary masterpieces, written in 1876 by the famous author Mark Twain. Tom Sawyer is a mischievous young boy who lives in the small town on the Mississippi River called St. Petersburg. The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in Tom Sawyer's life.
Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood.
The book is filled with Tom's adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who few of the adults approve of.
The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics.
The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood.
The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book.
Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which I'm sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.
故事的主人公湯姆是個(gè)天真、活潑而又頑皮的典型美國(guó)少年。他和野孩子夏克，各干出了許多令人捧腹的妙事。像湯姆被罰粉刷圍墻，竟施出詭計(jì)，不但使別的孩子心甘情愿代替他工作，還自動(dòng)奉上謝禮。后來和夏克逃到荒島去，人們以為他們淹死了，正在教堂為他們舉行喪禮，而他們卻躲在教堂的鐘樓上偷聽。
這些頑皮的舉動(dòng)，雖然不能給我們做模范，但是，他為了正義，毅然地挺身出來作證人，拯救那無辜的罪犯沫夫彼得。并在頑皮之余，居然和夏克破獲了一樁謀殺案，成為眾人欽佩的小英雄�？磥�，湯姆也有值得我們學(xué)習(xí)的地方。
人總是會(huì)長(zhǎng)大的，除了個(gè)兒長(zhǎng)高了，身子強(qiáng)壯了以外，人的思想也在長(zhǎng)。你對(duì)世界的看法不同了，懂事了，不再幼稚了。不過人是要越變?cè)胶貌攀�。千萬不能像歷險(xiǎn)記里的那個(gè)心狠手辣的壞蛋卓伊一樣，他壞事做盡，人見人憎。但最后他還是惡有惡報(bào)，得到了一個(gè)活活餓死在山洞里的下場(chǎng)。
看完《湯姆索亞歷險(xiǎn)記》，我真羨慕湯姆能有如此有趣的經(jīng)歷。這本書讓人看起來津津有味，甚至廢寢忘食。我想，《湯姆索亞歷險(xiǎn)記》在你煩悶的時(shí)候或許能讓你一笑解千愁。
